Laura I love your style and techniques. I am interested in much of the same subject matter. I plan to copy some of your works but in watercolor. I have copied Homer and sargent and others. I have found that the best way for me to study a composition is to make a copy. I am especially interested in creating atmosphere and mood as you have done in this painting and your other works. One of my favorite painters is a watercolor artist -Zbukvic. I have copied many of his works and always end up frustrated. The way you have used color and values in this work is really something.
Laura Lee Zanghetti replied:
I do the same thing Richard...I learned and continue to learn from copying the American Impressionists of the early 1900's. And I love Zbukvic too. Good luck....love to see it when your done.
